This 1866 2 cent piece is in NGC plastic. The slab is a bit scratched.

Take a shot at a grade.

I say au50 if scratches are on the slab

Hard to tell with the scratches on the slab but, I'll say AU-50

Sorry, but there is too much circulation rub on the shield center and the WE on the obverse to get to 50. I'd say it SHOULD grade more like 45.

Can we have an XF48? I agree there are a couple points of wear that are just lightly too much and it barely drops into the highest of XF grades. Pretty coin!

Xf45 2 cent pieces are a pain to grade they were inconsistent to say the least

It still has traces of obverse luster which do not show up on the camera well. This picture was an attempt to pick up at least a fraction of the color.
