Hey all,

My mother has had this series 1996, AB numbered, 100 dollar bill where the security tape is on the right side instead of the left when facing Franklin. Is it worth anything more or a common misprint?

Thanks!

John1: is it possible to scan a legal tender note? I've heard that scanners or scanning software connected to the internet have some sort of "no no" firmware that either disallows or reports scanning of bills. Any basis or is that just another urban legend?

Some scanners will and some won't. I think if you change from the original size it will scan,if not the good old point-n-shoot will do.

Ya, if you look at Wheatbacks link. the first post, 2nd picture, where the strip is on the right instead of the left. I'm going to read through that chain.
