I was looking through my bags of wheat pennies I just inherited, and this one stood out in its date. I cant tell what the last number is. Can someone tell me what date it is and if its an error, what kind, and what it may be worth. tankies

I think it is a '47, but there is Cud on the lower inside of the '7'. The top crossbar of the '7' is faintly visible, but this part of the '7' is the result of a partly filled die, probably by grease.
So two errors in the same tiny area.

Coin operated machines do this to coins sometimes. It is a common occurrence.

Looks to me as if a tiny piece of metal has been chipped off the die, mainly on the inside vertical leg of the '7'.

@sel_69l

That would cause it to be raised rather than make the 7 look like a one.

This is a case of roller machine damage.

I agree. It is a 1941 that was damaged by a vending machine. It is close to being parallel to the rim.
