Most bubbles I've seen on a zincoln yet. Did this leave the mint this way or was this part of some kind of science expeirement?

The coin you have posted is a 1993-D cent. Almost looks like water on the surface.

Reverse looks completely normal. No bubbles.

I couldn't say if the copper plated zinc coins leave the mint that way or if the bubble(s) take time to show or form.

I'm surprised they've stayed in tack this long and suspect they may have had a helping hand after minting, but have no clue as to how at this time. Thanks, Doug.

If you're keeping it, make a note to yourself to check it in about 6 months or a year. Take another pic and compare.

I think it will continue to deteriorate no matter how you store it -- but I could be wrong.

I find it odd that there are no bubbles on the reverse side.

I have seen a lot of them too. Usually both sides are affected. I'm not sure I understand how one side was well rinsed and the other not.
