At my coin meeting, I was being paid for my sold lots and I saw a funny looking quarter. It had a clip at about 12:30 and what you guys call a blakesley effect. I already know it's a real clip so that isn't a problem. I do have the coin with me but I am on vacation and I do not own a phone so I can't take pics. It is AU58 condition. I also got an ike for face!

How much do you think the quarter is worth?

You paid too much for it.
You paid for a part of a quarter with a whole one!

In reality, it will have numismatic value of at least $5.
Some collectors are more interested in clipped blank coins than others, and it also depends on the severity of the clip.

Post a picture when you are able to, so that we can say as individuals what we think what we may like to buy a similar one for. Expect a range of values.

It should be worth at least a few dollars.

This is the kind of coin that needs a willing buyer though and is almost impossible to wholesale.

Of course, the larger the clip the more the value.
Time don't fly, it bounds and leaps.

I had to look up "blakesley effect" to figure out what you meant since I've never heard of it. It looks pretty cool! I've found coins in the past that looked similar. Now I'm wondering if I accidentally passed up coins that I mistook for PMD...
