Most of the other sub-forums have an ongoing new purchases/acquisitions thread going. Unless I'm wrong the Modern U.S. forum does not so I'll start one. Any objections?
Today I picked up three Bombay Hook Quarters out of circulation from a new roll that a cashier opened. I also found a nice looking Homestead Quarter in my change that I'm adding to my hoard.
I realize that I'll never likely realize any gain on these circulation finds but finding and stashing them is part of the fun of collecting.

Grabbed 5 wheat cents (teens) from a local shop during my lunch break. Would have bought more but I ran out of time...

There is a general thread, but not one specific to modern US coins. I suppose we can give it a shot, see how it last. I got my 2015 ATB circulating quarters set this week.

I upgraded the 1940 PDS in my Lincoln collection to Uncirculated, bright red. I've been working more in the earlier end of my collection, so this is a little off-track.
On the Jefferson front, I bought an oddity: a 2000-P with a reeded edge. Not sure how that could happen, but it's going in my "weird bottle".

Bought a ton of upgrades to my Dansco 7103, which is my Lincoln Wheat Cents 1909-1958 album. The brand new album plus the coins cost me around $90! However, I now only have a couple of "details" coins that I actually really like. I am now super happy looking at the set and it was worth it completely to spend that much IMHO!

Quote: is this a new Dansco for you? and what kind of coins came with it? It was a dansco in its original packaging, never opened. No coins came with it. When I was transferring my wheats from folders to the album, I put aside 20-30 LWC that were either details coins, or really low grades. Then, I upgraded those coins for only about $65. The album cost me $25.

Here's today's new addition There's a big gap in production of lincoln proofs: from 1942 to 1950. They also get more $$ the farther back you go.

Went to my LCS and picked up a G-04 1912 Barber dime for $1.25 and 2 canadian "fishy's" as they call them, aka 5c pieces. 1904 and 1905. Decent detail on them. Got them for a $1 apiece. No incredible finds this time around. $3.25 total spent. They had NOTHING new from the past week, which is unusual, but not unusual with silver being the price it is.

2003 P&D Mint Roll Nickels. Been stashing 2003-2006 Westward Journey Nickels for about 6 months now any time I find them for $4-5 a roll or less.
