i was wondering if this is a coin to keep or toss back into the wild? and also want to know does it add a small value for these sort of coins?

its not as clear as it shoud be but I could not get any better pics. I already use my loupe infront of the camera lens hehehe but it did not do the job very well..
i gotte admit its all very minute but visible with a 10X loupe

so there is 3 things I think is not in place...first there is doubling in the front and on the back ir runs from chest to nose and from back till neck

then the 'IN GOD WE TRUST' is very near to the rim so is this off centre?

then the edge is not very straight all around ,it kinda flows togheter a bit under the 'in god we trust'

I don't see enough here to make it worth more than $0.01

This is not a Wheat cent. It is a Lincoln Memorial cent. At best, I see a very minor amount of Machine Doubling, but even that is not clear. The rim may be a very slight misaligned die.

thank you I did't notice I put Wheat cent instead of memorial

yes you can't c it very clear but its there. as for the edge why does it narrow down?
is it because of that misaligned hit?

so basicly this is not realy a error coin of sort? and good to let go in the wild again?

Do you have a way to measure the diameter of the coin in mm?

That would be considered to be a normal diameter.

I think that you will see that type of edge on many cents - I am not sure if it would be more on the pre 1982 cents, but it might be more prevalent with them. I do not have an explanation for why that is this way nor do I remember seeing one.

I too forget the reason (hopefully someone will let us know), but I can pull a dozen (or more) off my desk right now with that happening. I've noticed, ironically, that '54 wheats tend to be prone to this.

Sometimes a planchet is 'rolled thin'. The ones that are interesting are easily seen/very obvious.

Your coin has been circulated quite a bit and there's no telling what happened to it.

In my opinion, it's a normal worn coin.
