If I went to all of the coin shops in my area regularly I'd be bankrupt in pretty short order. I usually try to restrain myself to one trip to a coin shop a month.

I LOVE getting to the FUN show here in FL, it kinda meets my quota for the year in general. That being said, most of the local coin shops still treat me like I'm too young to have a clue or too poor to be worth their time for customer service except for one which rarely stocks stuff I care much about. So my motivation for shops is kinda low. The FUN show is another story. The thrill of the hunt never gets more exciting than in there!

I like to hunt flea markets and antique shows also. There is a monthly coin bourse I try to go to once a month on every 2nd Sunday, except it is not on in the summer.

I used to visit a coin shop daily for more than 30 years.
I used to work in the middle of the business district of Sydney.
The coin shop was 3 minutes walk from where I worked.
I have since retired but I still maintain a good contact on a frequent basis with with one of the staff members, who still works there. Our frienship goes back more than 40 years.

He bought a Roman gold aureus out of my first collection, which I sold way back in 1976. He still has it in his own collection.

I try but it rarely happens, which is good because any kind of work is good work during this crappy recession. I got some time off this year so I dropped into my LCS for a long overdue purchase. Owner was quite happy. :)
