I am sure a few of you try to make it to a coin shop as often as possible. My problem is a work at a coin shop, and still find myself going to other coin shops on my days off. Then when I am there it seems like I just have to purchase something. Like today ... and I already have at least one of every coin I bought.

Nice purchases. I am not even sure where all of the coin shops are now. The one I once most recently frequented moved to the other side of the metro area, but I have not been since. I rely on the local coin shows, which have seldom disappointed me.

I might have to move to somewhere that only has coin shows every few months.

Local coin shows have always been best for me as well - things are less hectic, and you often find a small dealer who needs the cash. I go to my LCS only for the Bid Board and the occasional item the dealer has just purchased.

Nice purchases. I try to frequent and support my local coin stores and often end up working with them in some way. You're right about feeling like you "have" to buy something!

I seldom go to the LCS anymore because the ones near me have all turned to bullion dealers.

You guys are very fortunate. Here in the UK I honestly couldn't tell you where the nearest coin store is (if they even exist). There is one monthly show about an hour away but that is 90% old British stuff that doesn't interest me very much. That's why I buy mostly from ebay.

Proofreader - As I've heard, and I know of a guy who lives in the UK, he gets a lot of good coin deals at Car boot sales?
I'd still go to them and ask a person if they have any coins, old coins etc. Maybe you could get a contact # or something?

On my days off? Pretty much never. Thankfully I have everyday business in city so I go any day I like. Best thing is that the coin shops are always open at those times

The wife and I try for once a week, but that doesn't always work. We have been to a couple shows this year and also order online a couple times a year.
