Before I start, the penny does not have any holes in it, it's just encased within a necklace.

Is there anyway to remove this from the necklace without damaging the coin? I hope to add pictures soon but I cannot add them yet due to my dad being gone and having his phone with him.

I've seen coins that have been removed from bezels and there is already damage to the rims.

My advice -- without seeing the pics -- leave it alone.

What year is the Indian?
I agree with buddy, probably leave it be as it may ruin the coin if removed or take it to a jeweler.

If it really is a 1906 and even in great shape, leave it alone. Find a girl you like and give it to her as a present.
If you are a girl, just wear it.

Coins in bezels usually have flattened rims. I say leave it how it is.
