I acquired this coin a little while ago and I keep looking at it wondering if it is just a nice MS coin or maybe a specimen.

I could not get a nice photo of the OBV, but it is a mirror like background and mostly square rims (1 side is a bit rounded.

Neither Specimen nor Circulation. It's a PL coin.
"Dipping" is not considered cleaning...

The 49's often came in protective tubes (we've been told)..

..so it's nice to see these near perfect ones..

ICCS has it has as MS 64, newer grade (3 letter). I think a bit of an under grade...

Thanks for the insights, PL would make sense, I should probably compare to a few others in hand as well.
