I like to keep older coins I find and I came across this one yesterday. I am no collector by any means.
This penny looks like it has the 'D' filled in under the date. Can someone confirm if this is an error?

It's a die chip and they are very common, so there's no real added premium.



*basically the "pin" that would be the centre of the D has broken off.
