1998-S & 1999-S Proof Sets "am" Question

CoinCents Pillar of the Community United States 3656 Posts	Posted 12/05/2015 3:29 pm Is this error the opposite of what the circulated coin is? I thought that 1998, 1999 & 2000 the collectible was WAM? So are the proofs the opposite? Close AM. Thanks Report this Post to the Staff

But all 1993 cents proof and business strikes are Close AM's. 1994 forward are usually the Wide AM for the proofs. The 1998-S and 1999-S do have the Close AM's but they are fewer in number. But tonight I may have come upon a Die Clash on a 1989 penny and that type of error would be my first. So things are looking up.
