to CCF As you read the threads in the various sections, you'll find the single most important thing we're going to be asking for are decent photos. This doesn't mean you need to run out and buy a $1000 camera. With a little practice, your smart phone or Point n' Shoot can take perfectly usable photos. They need to be sharp and ideally the coin is as big as possible (but the issue with these type of cameras is how close they can focus). But you'll get the hang of it.

Sorry for your loss and we are happy to help you out. If you do not mind me asking: what coins do you have in your collection?

and don't clean them. Do not even 'rub' a little dirt off of them. Handle them with kid's gloves, seriously the kind that amazingly fit your hand. Made of cotton, white.

hoosiergator, sorry for not replying sooner ,I have a little of everything . Trying to sort out the value of what is here.I'm also trying to learn how to take photo's .so I can post and ask questions . I think I'm going to need a new camera ! I have a problem with some of my coins , They used scotch tap to hold them into one of the blue books !This has put a mark on them ,and I think it has ruined them .

Most of the time scotch tape residue can be safely removed with acetone, but it's a case by case basis.
