I got this one dollar bill back in change. It's a 2001 series. It is well worn and has no signs of a seal on the left side of GW. There is no sign of a serial number on that side either. There is some faint trace of a serial number on the right side of GW. Has anybody ever seen a bill like this before.

could be that it is well worn and that probably removed the seal and seriel. Picturs are a must to help determine this.

Can you get a larger picture of the front and one of the reverse as well?

Given it's condition, I'd suspect it's been washed. I don't know about American banknotes, but I have heard that certain cold-water enzyme-based detergents make the serial numbers on Australian banknotes fade away, leaving the rest of the ink mostly intact. Something similar may have happened here.

I thought about the washing thing, but why would anyone wash a one dollar bill?

I don't think they were washing the bill, but rather it went through the wash from being in a pocket of a shirt or pair of pants. If you ever watch the show Monk, he is paranoid of germs and washes and irons his folding money.

Is there a chance the bill is bogus?

Not sure what you mean by "bogus" but I have seen alot of my money washed in the washing machine and the come out looking no different. Does anyone know if the serial #'s and that seal are printed together or seperatly?

The serial numbers and the green seal are printed with the same ink at the same time. The Black seal and district numbers are printed together also. It's possible that there was insufficient green ink during the overprinting. Due to the note's condition, I recommend you take it to a show and ask a few dealers that have currency on their table for an opinion.
