Can doubling or separation be seen in hand? All I can tell (from the nice pictures by the way) is its Type1, but with some glare and or shadow hampering my view of the mint mark on this end. Thanks, Doug.

Halo1st, yes it can be seen . the way I do it is I first find the splits with my hand magnifier and then I use my digital micro to try to show what I have found.

uruman, see it now. My old eyes sometime need more angles to see what's in front of me.
