Hello everyone, apparently I joined this forum a few years ago, but have never participated. I have been heavily into stamps until last spring, but I guess I got burned out on them. Over the years I have been into stamps, US currency, baseball cards, US coins etc. It is kind of funny how the collecting bug for a certain area will bite you. If anyone can logically explain it, I would be interested. Anyway, I will be participating as best I can.
Rest in Peace

I have the collecting bug too. It might be genetic. Many of my relatives on both sides of my family are collectors too (not coins sadly).

As do I, although I'm the only one in my biological family (my aunt married a collector several years after I began, so it's just a coincidence that we both collect).
It's always nice to meet a fellow Washingtonian on the forum- there aren't many. I live out here on the edge of the Snoqualmie Valley, where it has been pouring rain for several days and record-breaking floods are predicted for tomorrow and Thursday. What part of the state are you in?

Thanks everyone. I live in south Everett, and since we moved here a couple of months ago, it seems like it has not stopped raining.

Yeah, the weather's been crazy recently. Another day or so of heavy rain and my town will literally become an island. It's happened before.

Fellow Washingtonians. I'm here in Rainier, no nowhere near the mountain
I don't think anyone can really explain the collecting bug, it just happens. It's certainly not in your blood because absolutely no one in my family collects anything. I go through spurts where I'll collect coins for a few years, then drop off for awhile, then something will catch my eye and I'm off again spending $$$$ on coins. Only coins though, nothing else.

cilrah, the way I do it is to copy whatever you wish to quote, then do a Reply to Topic, then I paste it into the reply, select the line(s) the the mouse, then click the 2nd icon from the right that says insert quote, when you hover your mouse over it. I hope this makes sense.

I meant to say select the line(s) with the mouse. Fat fingers!
