Mostly get positive responses. Some people even thought they were dollars and I had to correct them. I've managed to snag a couple of 40% coins and I saw a proof the other day. Full marks to American Airlines for changing my missed transatlatic flight for one on the following day! I did dispose of a couple more half dollars in New York before leaving the USA. I gave one to a beggar on Sixth Avenue and another to a strange guy who was dancing his way through a NY subway car and asking for money from passengers. Both said "Thank you!" $24,099 to go! It was fun to get Presidential dollars in change in the ticket machines on the NY subway but also annoying that those machines don't take half dollars!
