I had exactly one clad dollar coin, and Eisenhower. A few weeks ago, when I made sure it wasn't worth more than $1, I spent it on beer at a bar.
Now I'm out. When I do have $1 coins or halves or $2 bills, I often use them for tips.
So, $75,596 to go...

I used one Presidential dollar for a tip on Tuesday, and another one on Thursday. $75,168 to go. I think this won't get done before the Singularity comes, and we're all replaced by androids who have no need for money. :) |

I haven't posted in this thread for months, but I have been spending lots of dollar coins without keeping track. I will try to be better about being more regular in posting. This week, I spent $6 in small dollars (3 SBA, 3 Pres/sac) for my daughter's hot lunches at school. $75,152 to go |
