The first series to have engraved dates were the IHC 1909 and the Lincoln Cent 1909, with all other denominations in that year. After this time, any other doubled date or different date over another date are considered doubled dies. This is due to using two different date hubs or the same dated hub but offset to make a single working die. Report this Post to the Staff
