I will pick up the proof silver dollars after market down the line somewhere.
But you talked me into it too on the unc. anyway
I decided to go ahead and pick up the unc. silver dollar of each commemorative now. Nothing like last minute.

@CK, sorry about the Marshal gold proof. Hope your unc is of good quality...Ordered and returned SR2 twice this year...

Thanks, Bizy - I'll definitely be critical of quality. That's a lot of money to tie up in something that's less than acceptable.

@CK: According to the latest number, Marshal Gold Proof is less than 10K, which make it the lowest Modern Commemorative $5 PF coin ever. How will price reflect on the secondary market is another issue. You may have missed the boat, OR NOT..... we'll have to wait and see.

Bruce, you forgot about the 3-coin Marshall proof set, which adds 14,984 to the gold coin proof singles. Brings it to around almost 25K.

Thanks Bizy. I forgot about that..... probably that's why it was not on my original 'radar for potential low mintage' excel list when I compiled the list about a month ago.

Well, my US Marshals unc came in today, and I have to say I'm a fan. Quality is fine at first glance and I really do like that design. Wonder what the final numbers will be for the uncirculated.

I would have to agree. I was not going to buy any of these but went for a couple of each (received yesterday). The proof design REALLY looks good....

According to an email I received this morning, the final sales for the US Marshals $5 Gold Uncirculated is 6,743. The proof version ended at 9,975 (single) + 14,984 (3-coin set) for a total of 24,959.

2 of the Dollar sets arrived today. Very happy with them. Also glad to hear the numbers were low. Will stash them away in the 5 year box and see where they are at in 2020 and then will likely continue to keep them.

It looks like the 2016 set will have one less $1 coin but cost $2 more
