Obverse looks cleaned, some reverse carbon. AU-55 details. Sorry, nothing special

EF to AU details, cleaned, with reverse corrosion spots, possibly from PVC contamination. The color does not look original. LIBERTY has some hits and the Indian's cheek is scratched. There are also two areas of significant rim damage at the top on the obverse.

This a common date, readily available in all grades. A problem-free AU should only cost $5-10. I don't want to knock your birthday present but this piece is basically a cull given the problems. Might be a good idea to work with your dad to find a nicer example and review together how this piece is not a good choice for a quality collection.
