They made 2 versions of these coins. One was a silver version (1 ounce .999 silver)and the other was cupro-nickel.

I would guess the silver version would bring melt value or just a few dollars over.

Someone else might be able to give you a better idea of its value

I wouldn't purchase any coins from China.

Here is the site from Hutt River showing all of their Desert Storm coins

I think that particular seller is one of the few non-scamming coin sellers from China. At least, his stock doesn't include any of the normal coins the fakemasters sell, and he's been around on ebay since before the Chinese flood of fakes began. I've happily (though unsuccessfully) bid on some of his items.

You should be aware that the Desert Storm series of coins were not officially sanctioned by the Hutt River Province government. But since Hutt River Province isn't a "real country" as far as international recognition is concerned, it's debatable as to whether these coins are any less "legitimate" than the ones which have been "officially issued".

The "New Queensland Mint" isn't in Queensland, or even Australia; these were struck in California I believe, and mass-marketed to American collectors who were most likely unaware of their doubly-unofficial status.
