got this in change today when I purchased a dansco 7100 Lincoln Cents 1909 to date.

I have never seen one this red before, the coin is much darker red than the pic shows

I have had a lot of coins in Whitman folders for about 15 years now, I pulled one of the Lincoln folders out of the safe today to look through them and found that several of the coins are starting to corrode around the edge of the coin where it's touching the folder. OK my question is what is causing this, is it just the cheap folder or something else not all the coins are doing it just a few.

I was looking at the dansco albums for a while now and after seeing what's happening to some of my Lincoln's it was a easy decision to purchase one of them.

I have heard that the glue used to make the folders can cause problems on coins stored in them. The paper backing on the cardboard is smothered in the glue and even the holes will have the glue residue in them.

Ive had problems with my Buffalo nickels. I started a collection when I was little and housed them in a Whitman. But 15 years later I took a look at my old folders and noticed that a bunch of the buffalos had small green spots starting on the rims. The best I can tell, these green spots started where ever there was a nick to the rim.
