The Goal: 25,000 Rolls Of Nickels (All Searchers Welcome!)

I am playing and new to this game. 30 rolls searched (sort of). Lots of '64 which I quickly learned to spot by looks. Found a 36D Buff. with full date and my first ever seen silver nickle in my life 44 and a bunch of 39's

Okay, so I just got done with what is undisputedly my best nickel box ever. Here's the rundown:

I set a personal high of 3 War Nickels in this box: 1942S, 1943S, and 1945P.

I found an outrageous EIGHT Buffalo nickels in this box as well. (four of them in the same roll) All readable date, ranging in grade from G-4 to VF-30.

They are: 1929, 1930, 1934-D, 1936, (2)1936-D, 1937, 1937-D. Rest assured all buffalos were confirmed to be in possession of all 4 of their legs. (unfortunately )

I believe it's dancing fruit time!

What's your guys' best Buffy finds? I had back to back boxes with 14 and 16, all with readable dates.

Coppernickeldaddy, as awesome as it is that you've found all those coins, I am a bit surprised that you have not found one single Shield nickel in a box. Even if it's just an 1883 (the last year they were minted), that would be awesome to find. Keep up the good work!

I'm a little bummed at only one Buffalo in all that, but it keeps the fire burning. Finding non-Canadian foreign coinage is always a treat for me. I'll be on vacation next week and we are going to visit my parents house and hopefully we can find some goodies down there as that town is twice the size of my current locale. I did an interesting experiment with nickel searching today. I bought $60 in bank-wrapped rolls and $40 in CWR. I found more than twice as many early Jeffersons in the bank-wrapped rolls (25) as opposed to the customer rolls (10). Also, this is the first hunt in a while where I didn't find any Buffalo or War Nickels.

I think I will stick to boxes for nickels and customer rolls for cents, dimes, and quarters.
