Stopped at the bank this morning and picked up 5 rolls of Nickels. Not much found, but a 1959D, a 1968S and a 1969S. However, (TahDah) a very nice 1945P! No doubling on the reverse, but I'm always happy when a War Nickel shows up in a bank roll |

On campus I found 2 1941p nickels from two different vending machines, and I picked up $10 in nickels before that and only ended up with a 1941s and a 1948p. I may get some more later. Happy hunting.

Ordered my boxes this morning, picking them up tomorrow and I already feel better. Last week felt like the longest week ever :( I'll get back to posting finds tomorrow night!

Picked up 3 rolls from the bank on my way home from work. Found 2 2009-Ds, but that was it.

That's a pretty good average ... I get maybe 1 or 2 per box with 4 being my best.

I have only known to look for the 2009's since late last week, the last three boxes I have searched have yielded an average of 3 per box.

Not a good day for roll searching here. Picked up 11 rolls and usually find like 20+ keepers. well today wasnt the usually I managed to find a 1897-1992 Canadian nickel, and a great looking 1964 Canadian nickel. Now for the us. 1 1939-P ( not doubled) 1 1940-P, 1 1946-P, 1 1947-P, 1 1958-d, and a special ( wil have to post pic's of this one) 201 (1) I think It has damage on the inside of the coin from in god we trust is like 1/2 way gone on the bottom of the wording, also the reverse strike is pretty much the same the whole way around the outter letters.

Just got back into coins in general for the first time in over a year. Was forced to sell all of them to get a pool for the kids.
Anyway, just got a box of nickels from the bank yesterday. Halfway through I got a no date buff and realized that I should check this thread and see if there's any new ones to look for.
Can someone please tell me why we are keeping the 2009s? I got a ton of 2011s too. Is it just 09, or are the later ones good too?

$20 yielded nothing much, a few from the 50's but no war or buffalo...Payday Wednesday so I can buy a box!

I am curious what everyone is finding their nickels in? I have been having pretty good luck with Brinks rolls which are wrapped in the clear plastic shrink wrap. There have been a few CWR's that I have been able to find but nothing special was found in them, I am finding the Brink's rolls to be far better than the CWR's I have gotten.

My best finds (including a 1900 V nickel) were from CWRs. Other than that it's been Garda boxes. |
