Where can you buy Nic-a-date?

Probably ebay. If not, I know wizardcoinsupply has some, that's where I am going to buy mine.

Today's 3 rolls ($6) gave:
2x 2005-P American Bison
Other than that, S-K-U-N-K!

Total:
2 AB nickels x 50¢ selling price = $1.00
118 crap nickels x 5¢ FV = $5.90
Total net: $6.90 - $6.00 = 90¢ profit

should I do this to the whole coins and make them uniformly ruined.?

If you are going to keep it for yourself, I believe that's personal opinion.

New to acid treating myself, take my advice for what it is worth (very little, lol). Trying to treat the whole coin can be a little risky at this point. There is no way to tell (well, from my little experience so far) how long the person had the nic-a-date on there. If it were only a few seconds, enough to show the faint date, that would be great news for you. I think it has the potential for a great looking restored nickel. If, however, he had the nic-a-date on there for a while, that could be a problem. Nic-a-date acts fairly fast. If you tried to do the entire nickel, and he did the date for a while, you could very easily lose the date altogether. You would be left with a dateless nickel worth $.05 and crushed spirits knowing what it once was.

Oh, and from a monetary standpoint, fully acid treated coins are worth more than coins that have had only the date treated.

I did 2 boxes of Nicks this weekend. The first box started out with an ender, which is my first first nickels. 2 rolls later found another war nick. They had a certain tone to them and I saw them sprinkled throughout the box. They were in the clear wrapper. Unfortunately, the toning was on other nicks too because I didn't find any more silver in that box. Box 2 produced a VF 41, a War Nickel, and 3 buffalo's. 2 were dateless. The third was a beautiful 1937. However, someone decided it would be a good idea to drill a hole in it, just above the head :(

Just had box with a V-nickel, a buffalo, and a silver War Nickel! The trifecta of nickel hunting and it took 82 boxes for it to happen. Also got a 38-S with a lamination error to top it off.

Update: just did the tallies and noticed that I've found a full roll of Buffalo nickels.

Nice finds robbudo! One more box and you caught up to me. Seems like you are ahead though. I've never found a V nickel, and I only have 24 buffalos. Keep it up!

5!! What. I just want 1. lol. And I live in san diego.

And I get N.f. string rolls and clear wrapped rolls. The armored trucks that I usually see at the bank are Loomis.

any 'S' mintmark buffalo is a good find, even if there is a gouge in the coin.
