Looking through $60 dollars in nickels last night led to a dateless buffalo and a 1945-P War Nickel which was also a hole filler!! 7 or 8 other pre-1960's were in the mix as well.

Fun box last night. Stunning 1970-S Proof, a 1945P, and two dateless buffalos (one with a D mintmark). Just ordered some nic-a-date for all these dateless buffs.

Perhaps Dennis has been nickel searching longer, not more frequently, than the rest of us.

mike diamond confirmed it is a split die on my Jefferson. Very few coins could have been struck with this die.
