Got a 1938 Buffalo nickel in my change from breakfast on Sunday. I almost threw it down as part of the tip before it caught my eye.

What? you don't obsessively check every coin you receive in change?

I just finished up a very mediocre box of nickels. A few pre-1960s. A 1955 was the lowest mintage. No silver or buffs. I'm still hunting for that elusive V-Nickel....

Thanks jbuck.

I went through 2 boxes today.

Box 1 results:

This is the second silver nickel that I have found in a week, that were in really great shape. They were from 2 separate banks. The first was from CWR and this was from a bank box. Really weird.

Box #3 results:

1 1943 silver (Really beat up) doesn't even fit into a coin tube.

18 pre-1960
3 Canadian
2 2009-D

I don't know what to do with my Canadian Nickels. I may look into starting an album? I just don't know? There doesn't seem to be a market for them on ebay. I only have a couple of rolls as of now. I don't seem to be able to put them back into the wild.
