Nothing like being lucky. About three weekends ago I spoke to my brother about coin roll hunting. He's always been a nickel collector so this was right up his alley.
He's been under the weather so roll hunting is perfect for him.
His wife picked up $160 worth of nickels for him. With about 11 rolls left to look through, he's found two buffalos, one with a date, a 1939D and a 1939S, 1944P, 1944D, and a chromed 1944S.
Sorry, no pics.

Reply to robbudo's Aug 12 request for a pic of the fake 1950D:
I just read your reply today. Sorry I was so long getting back to you.
I know I imaged the coin, but I can find neither the coin nor an image of it. I may have simply tossed it back into the population.
I was suspicious of the coin immediately because the 0 looked so small. Just that my eyesight wasn't good enough with the 10X magnifier I use. But the coin clearly had been modified.
I looked through my jar of 1950's nickels and in a jar of oddities I keep, but didn't find it. If I run across it again, I'll be sure to post the image here.

Tonight's box was very good. Buffalos found: 1936d (2), 1937p Silvers found: 1943S (2), 1942S (only our fourth ever!) With our finds tonight, we now have at least 4 of every Jefferson nickel except: 1950d (0) 1938s (1) 1938d (2) 1943D (0)

Murphy, nice finds! That one nickel looks like it was struck through a die cap.

I've gone through 2.5 boxes and have found only one 2009-D nickel! I've found more silver nickels than 2009s.

Thanks for the info jdavis18 and robbudo. I'll post it to the error section as soon as I can take a better picture.
Keep searching MacCoins, you are bound to find more soon. I seem to find more 2009's in CWR than BWR. But I don't find as much silver. Hope this helps. Good luck.
bish, does the Manager just save them for you? Are you friends with him / her? That's great. Saves time searching. I have to get to know the tellers better.
Picked up 2 boxes today. Both Brinks. I only finished 1 so far.
Results: No silver or Buffalo 24 pre-1960 (nothing special after a quick glance) 3 2009-D 4 Canadian ( Amazed at the quantity. Found 3 in one roll)
I'll finish box 2 tomorrow. Hopefully I can pick up at least 2 more boxes tomorrow. I have to have them all finished by Friday. I have 2 boxes of halves on order.
