I also noticed the lack of 2009 nickels and cents. I wonder if this is the same for other coins and currency?

I understand that the mintage numbers were very low for the 2009's. I just found it odd that I had not found a single one in the last 3 boxes. I normally find at least 1 per box. Just strange.

Rachums107, I meant to ask, were you finding them in any numbers before? I don't know about you but I'm not ready for them to become as scarce as the 1950-D yet. MacCoins, I know the 2009 pennies are somewhat collectible. I don't know about others. I picked up $200 today. $100 in CWR and $100 in BWR. I don't recognize the wrappers on the BWR. I normally see String & Sons or the plastic wrapped Brinks. I added a photo below. The entire box is 2011-D's. So it looks like I'll be opening the CWR tonight while I decide what to do with these.

I believe that is a Garda roll. I got a box of 2012-P's with that same paper from Garda.

Thanks Sam. I normally get CWR when I stop at this bank. Before I started using my Credit Union's coin machine, I used them as my dump bank. I think it's odd that the box I received was 2011's and not 2012's. I picked up a box of 2012's a few months back. I'm thinking about asking them to order some more coins for me. No telling what they have lurking in their vault. Can't hurt.

I guess I complained enough about the missing 2009's from rolls. I found 1 2009-D in the $100 of CWR. Didn't find anything else of note. Just 22 Pre-1960.

Yeah, I've also noticed a big lack of 2009 anything. I've found more wheat cents and pre-1965 nickels than any 2009 coins. Where did they all go?

Went through my first box yesterday and nothing too exciting, no 2009, no wars and a couple pre 1960s to put in my album.

Normally I just pick up loose nickel rolls at the bank, but this Saturday I decided to splurge and snag a full box at the bank where I have my safe deposit box. I was putting some more silver in the SDB when I noticed in the corner they had stacks of boxes of every denomination, at least 10 each. The boxes looked pretty old and very dusty. I said to the teller who was in the vault with me that I would absolutely love to CRH those boxes. She said if I wanted one that she had one at her station. Not exactly what I meant, but I accepted because it looked like I wan't getting the ones in the vault. I still don't know if they are a customer's or the bank's.
Anyway, I'm pretty happy that I did get this box. If CopperNickelDaddy or anyone else is still taking vital statistics, here's what I found: 1960 D(5) 1959 (2) 1959 D 1958 1958 D(2) 1957 D(4) 1955 D 1954 1954 D(2) 1954 S 1953 D(2) 1952 1951 1948 1947 S 1946 (3) 1943 P ! 1941 (2) 1940 (4) 1938 My first '38! 1936 My first Buffalo in a roll!
I also found a stunning 1965 and 5 nice S-mint later nickels, a '68 and two each '69 and '70s. There were a lot of replacements to my nickel folders from this box. The Buffalo was in pretty good shape too. The date is extremely readable with not much wear. I haven't really started collecting them yet, so it's going to go into a 2x2 for now.
I'm going back to the bank tomorrow to get another box! It's now official, I'm addicted to roll hunting...

Nice CoinRollHunter, Are they all polished or is that just an affect of the lighting/camera?
