@Rackster Quote: Not to rub salt into your wounds, but this was a roll find from a few months back...I'm missing the wartime D minted coins which were in much larger mintages but perhaps this is a location thing (I'm on the East Coast) as I see folks here finding them regularly (comparatively speaking of course) and the 1942D (for whatever reason). Funny you just mentioned the 1942D because the coin roll hunting gods sent me these all in one box yesterday to shun you for posting that 1938S 4 1942D, a 1942, and a dateless Buffalo that got shot by a cannon a few times. No silver though.

Isn't that unbelievable!! I'm not sure where you are located, but I'm here in CT, so predominantly I see Philly coins, a fair amount of Denver coins, and a few San Fran coins. It might speak to why the 42D has eluded me, to some small degree, but perhaps the gods see fit to entertain me with other fine specimens. But what have the gods done to Jon that he should only merit a 1946S? Pickle that other nickel and tell us (me)what it is. Luckily I had a barely readable date on this week's Buffalo. Good luck on the next hunt (you too Jon)!

I don't know but boasting my 4 1942D's the CRH gods have punished me and shorted me 5 rolls and the end of the 6th roll for an instant $52 loss a box of halves tonight And that was the first 2 boxes. I still have to more to open tomorrow at work

Just started nickels. Out of 5 boxes I haven't really found anything that I would call good you know silver or buffalo coins. Anyhow here are yesterdays finds. I have 2 boxes waiting in my car which I will start tomorrow. The IF coin I have no idea as to where its from. Maybe somewhere in Europe. This one off center I think Will post more findings soon.

love how someone in US classifies coins: 1 foreign 4 Canadian it is like the Canadians just belong here. Quote: <img src="http://i26.photobucket.com/albums/c114/aztecadeoro/coins/20140620_220818_zps21173731.jpg">
to post this image would be like this [ img]http://i26.photobucket.com/albums/c...21173731.jpg[ /img] go to the bottom of the page, click Reply to Topic (I couldn't find it for a LONG time either) 1. click on this button 2. put the link to the image inside the [ img][ /img] voila! bah this forum can't do code correct nor ansi either! use [] instead of <> when using the img tag. don't need the src part. same should do bold. when in doubt replace <> part with [] when using forums and just put everything inside the set.

2 boxes this week. Here are my highlights. 1935-S Buffalo nickel! It's very nice shape, only took 7 boxes to find it. Also a 1970-S Proof and a 2003 Canadian Proof. Are any of these proofs silver? Did not know I had an S mint until I looked at it a second time. The Silver Proof below. Pictures do not do it justice. Camera phone does not bring out the mirror finish.
