To my surprise, my bank has always had the nickels on hand, so I don't have to order them. I don't think anyone else searches here, though, since the first one I searched (back in October) had a date of April 9th, 2013 stamped on it and contained no coins newer than that year.

That surprised me too. I was expecting to walk out with a box of nickels.
On the bright side, it gives me some time to find my coin wrappers and get more if needed.

Around $100 in CWRs -
Thirties(4): all 1939 Forties(19): 1943S, 1944P Fifties(30): nothing special Sixties(8): 1963 impaired proof Seventies-Twenty-tens(15): 'gold' 2004 HS E/V: a few to review, but nothing special I think Foreign: 4 beaver, 1 fish, 1 pineapple, 2 20 Pence
Higher pre-60 coins, but nothing particularly exciting.

Quote: 'gold' 2004 HS What does 'HS' stand for? By the way, nice numbers for the pre-60s, and congrats on the 1963 proof!

Hi Numisma - perhaps an HSN coin novelty someone got bored with. Here's a contrasting pic or two -

Nice comparison photo for an interesting find. I agree, probably the typical home shopping dreck; dumped after the realization it was only worth face value.

Being a Proof, it can't be released back into the wild.. But being an impaired Proof, it's not good enough for an album.... It's just one of those deals where you save it for no purpose whatsoever really...

I agree. I keep them too but the golden HS went back out. Interesting to find and sadly something more significant than a proof to a noncollector. But maybe the find to get them to become a collector.

I keep all my nickel finds in rolls in a box. I have different rolls separated by mint & decade, as well as other things (war, cupronickel Canadian, plated Canadian, other foreign, 2009 P&D, etc.). One is for proofs, since my Dansco doesn't have spots for them. It currently has 3 coins in it.
