First Nickel hunt since the collection dump find. Did go back to CU and they had $20 more in Nickels, they also had $52 Cents which I got and need to search. $500 in Dimes which I got $300 and just did first post in dime forum from hunt ( higher than average silver)? $900 in Quarters still thinking I should get just in case it was not just a Nickel dump. Any way picked up $60 more in Nickels for $80 - 40 Customer Roll hunt below.

Nice on the 1942S. I haven't found too many of those.

K, got through my 2nd box... Dismal! ....nothing much worth to mention except a 1942-D (non-silver, of course)(and I'm only mentioning THAT, because that was IT !)Sigh... You're only as happy as your last good box... (This week I begin 4 boxes of Cents--hoping for killer finds there !)

I've been wondering- how often do you guys find the early 50s S mints? For 1951, 53 and 54 I get more S than P, but I suppose that may not be the case further East.

Numisma.... Personally, I don't save those years unless in gem condtion, so I couldn't report that accuratly. But off-hand, living in Kansas, and speaking of older coins, I get a good mix of all mints. Newer coins are mostly Denver though.

Numisma - After searching about 600 rolls, here's what I've found. I live in the Mid-west. 51-P 2 51-S 0 52-P 10 52-S 1 53-P 11 53-S 1 54-P 6 54-S 0
I find mostly D mint marks from those years.

25 rolls of nickels today produced the following: Dateless buffalo 1940 X3 1940-D 1941 X2 1941-D 1942 X2 (Non-war nickel) 1946-D 1953 1954 1955-D 1957 X2 1957-D 1958 X2 1959 If I don't sound too excited, it's not because of the results (which are really good for just $50 in nickels). It's because I had to pay an arm and a leg for car registration just because I purchased out of state.

Found a proof today! 2004-S "Louisiana Purchase": This is my 2nd proof find to date. Too bad it is scratched up. Still is exciting, as the box had not much of anything else in it.

So I picked up $50 of customer wrapped rolls today. I had some pretty good finds lately in nickels! So I was super excited to find this 1964P War Nickel. These rolls were obviously someone else dump because no nics before 1960. But take a look at this rare beauty!!
