Nice find! Based on the current exchange rate, you made a profit of $0.003.

1 box found a 2001 s proof and a 43p War Nickel. Ordered 2 more nickel boxes for Thursday. Taking a hiatus from halves for a good while.

Make that .006..... I found TWO of them ! --
Exact same year.
Absolutely n.o.t.h.i.n.g. else worthy to mention (assuming that these 2 coins are worth mentioning...lol)

It seems that my days of feasting have ended and now it's days of famine....

CoinRumbles,

You found the dump box of the century. There is no way those coins would randomly end up in one box.

I searched $40 in nickels and $20 worth were fresh rolls of 2016s

Luckily, the other half gave me a War Nickel, a 1943-S

I toss back pre-60 Jefferson nickels.... (except for the keys, semi-keys, & War Nickels, of course)
& BU's I keep too.

But, what are you guys doing with 11 rolls of circulated 1959 , 1955-D, 1946, etc., etc., etc.... for example ?
Building circulated set folders, I can understand, but, outside of that, just saving countless numbers of the same VERY common dates, I don't understand that practice.
The sheer inventory of common valueless coins.
I have purchased another folder for my daughter to build her a complete set like mine. She hasn't started it yet, but I know we'll get it done quite easily except for the 2 or 3 usual suspects....
So...just curious...

Eagle,

I sort out the pre-60 nickels for a couple of reasons. First I search for varieties as you probably know. Next I sort out the best for a date/mm to put into a tube dedicated for that date/mm on common dates. For semikey and key dates I keep them for dedicated tubes (after variety hunting of course). After that I toss them back to the wild. I maybe keep 20-40 nickels a box including the modern BU coins.

I used to hoard and glad I did for the variety hunting aspect. But now I search the hoard and release them. All part of my 2016 objective.

Did 20 rolls today... nothing special. 10 pre-60s (best were a 1939 and a 1947-S)... But I got skunked on 09s. javascript:insertsmilie('')

Found A Buffalo nickel which the best condition so far. It's as white as a modern nickel and the reverse has all the mint luster like it was just released from the mint. HH
