Forgot the 1978-S proof found early on. I'm still pretty amazed how nice it is.

sich0015, could we get some close-ups of the clipped coin? I don't see the devices fading toward the clip. The tops remaining of the R and the you in TRUST look to me to be PSD, but I am sure there are experts here could could speak more authoritatively on this coin.

One of my CWRs tonight had more than half of the coins prior to 1950. A mini-dump in one roll! There were four coins from 1939 and 17 from 1940-1949. All were Philadelphia coins except for one 1940-S. And, I found a Buffalo after a dry spell of 7 boxes without finding any. It is a 1934-P.

I got 6 or so rolls of nickels for Christmas, nothing special except for a 1952 nickel.

Quote: WOW, trapper! 9 39-Ds? How many coins have you searched? I have no idea a couple of years ago I was searching a lot of nickles, I found my first 39D in change from a coke machine at work before I retired 8 years ago. I have about 700 war nickles now my goal is 1 box (2000) so I decided to start searching nickles again. Looking for silver, varieties and upgrades for my album.

Today I decided I would try a box of nickels and hope to get lucky with a War Nickel or buffalo. And I got both! I wasn't very optimistic because most of the Enders were newer ones. I saw a lot of 2016. A vast majority were 2015/2016 coins. Here is what I pulled: 1920 buffalo, 1940s, 1940, 1943p, 1946d,1949,1949d, 1949s, 1951, 1951d, 1952, 1954, 1955d, 1956, 1956d, 1957, and a 1962 d. Also, would you guys keep the plain 1940 and 1962d. I only kept the 1962 becuz I thought it was in descent shape. I also kept the plain 1940 because I thought it was in descent shape. There were a lot more of them made than the 1940d. Tell me what y'all think. Would you keep these two or toss them back.
