sich0015,
You have done incredibly well with the 1938s&d and the 1939s&d. Certainly better than my son and I have done. What region of the country do you live in?
I will have to post our totals so far later.

I'm in the Midwest and I am always surprised when one of those key dates shows up in a bank roll! Quote: I just finished 100 rolls And you have already found more Canadians than I

I was going to guess somewhere in the Midwest, sich0015, as you seem to get a good mix of everything. As for me, I had a very odd batch of 4280 nickels yesterday. Only 2 2009-Ds and sadly no silver. 42 pre-60s included a sharp BU 1940-S and my second 1951-S in as many days. And most strangely, two 1990-D NO FS Nickels! That's FOUR of those this week, after finding only 10 in my first 800,000 coins.

Hey all, Just started in on a box. About 15 rolls in, and this one falls out: This is our 2nd 38D and we are for sure excited for another semi-key Jefferson!

Great find, dadsoncoinhobby! And always nice to find a 38 and a 42-D, mcschilling! As for me, I went a little overboard with the coins on Wednesday. I bought FIVE boxes of nickels from five different banks, a 3/4 full box (37 rolls) from another bank, and miscellaneous other groups of rolls, and even 10 nickels off a till as change - included a 1949 coin! In total, 14,570 coins searched... The results were good. I found 149 pre-60s including a gold plated 1920 Buffalo, 7 War Nickels, a 1938, 2 1949-Ss, 1950, 1951-S (my 3rd straight day with one!), AU 1952-D and 1954-S, 1980-S proof, 2 2009-Ps, 24 2009-Ds, and my third magician's nickel... It took me a full three days to go through all of them.

Great finds, but you did 5 boxes of nickels in 3 days? It would take me 3 days to do 1 box.
