So the past couple of days I searched a total of exactly 9,000 nickels.

The first day's batch was 6,200 coins, and I found 68 pre-60s and 6 2009-Ds... my best finds were a 1926 Buffalo, 1943-S, 1945-P and 1945-D War Nickels, along with 1938 (2), 1946-S, and a BU 1959...

Yesterday my first stop was at a bank where I only get about 10 rolls every time I visit. I actually let a person in front of me so I could see my favorite teller... turned out that was a very good decision... I got home and weighed my rolls and noticed a couple in the 196-198 gram range... my first thought was they had put a penny or dime in place of the nickels... well, when I opened the lightest roll, my jaw dropped...

The-Goal:-25,000-Rolls-Of-Nickels-All-Searchers-Welcome!

There were 34 DATED Buffalo nickels in said roll, with none dated later than 1928! One of the coins was a 1924-S! ... there were also 1947-S, and 1952-S Jeffersons in the roll and a BU 1961.

I then poured out the second light roll...
The-Goal:-25,000-Rolls-Of-Nickels-All-Searchers-Welcome!

The 10 end coins and one in the middle all pre-1926 dated Buffalo nickels! There were also 6 pre-60 Jeffersons in said roll.

I then opened the third lightest roll, and that one didn't have any Buffalo coins, but it did have a 1943-P War Nickel and 3 other pre-60 Jeffersons along with a 2009-D. The other 7 rolls had nothing significant other than a lone 1958-D...

The-Goal:-25,000-Rolls-Of-Nickels-All-Searchers-Welcome!
Here's the breakdown of my little hoard...
1915, 1916, 1916-D (2), 1917, 1917-D, 1918 (3), 1919 (4), 1919-S, 1920 (3), 1920-D, 1920-S (2), 1923, 1923-S (5), 1924 (3), 1924-S, 1925, 1925-D, 1925-S (5), 1926, 1926-D, 1927-D, 1927-S, 1928-D, 1928-S (3), 1940-D, 1943-P, 1946, 1951-D (2), 1952-S, 1955-D (3), 1958-D (2), 1959, 2009-D

As for the rest of the coins (2,400) I searched yesterday, I found 23 pre-60s including two more 1938 Philly coins and a single 2009-D.
CRH Nickeloholic. 1,600,000 nickels searched in eight years! Have found FOUR complete Jefferson sets!
