Grabbed 4,400 nickels last Wednesday, found 40 pre-60s and 6 2009-Ds... no scarce dates amongst the pre-60s but did find 2 War Nickels - a 1944-D and a very nice 1945-S!   CRH Nickeloholic. 1,600,000 nickels searched in eight years! Have found FOUR complete Jefferson sets!

searched 1 roll, it had only 1 coin older than 1964, a 1924 Buffalo!

In my searches over the past week, I've found a 1945 P Silver Nickel and a 2009 D!

Picked up 5,120 nickels this past Wednesday, found 46 pre-60s including a 1945-S, a very well-worn semi-key 1946-S, and also found a 1945 Canadian Nickel in AU condition. 6 2009-Ds were also amongst the keepers.  CRH Nickeloholic. 1,600,000 nickels searched in eight years! Have found FOUR complete Jefferson sets!

And yes, that Canadian Nickel was a very cool find as I rarely ever find any pre-1960 dated Canadian coins out here.

Reached another milestone this week.  Searched my 200th box of nickels this week. Still searching for the elusive 1944-S to complete my first set from the wild. Thought I would post my latest summary list for all to see.  |
