Believe it or not, yesterday, as I went out on my lunch hour, I stumbled upon ANOTHER nickel hoard at that same branch I got the two hoards early last year... 8 rolls of unmarked nickels produced an almost complete set of 1938-1959 dated
Jefferson nickels (including the 1938-D, 1939-D, and 1939-S coins!

) sans
War Nickels (which may have been pulled as the slots in most coin books/albums have the word "silver" by the dates)... there were also 54 assorted S-mint proof nickels

with every year from 1968-1988 represented, along with lone 1990, 1991, and 2000-S coins, and a scattering of 16 BU coins from 1971-1987.

The date breakdown: 38,
38D, 39,
39D,
39S, 40, 40D, 40S, 41 (2), 41D (2), 41S LgS, 41S, 42,
42D, 46, 46D, 47, 47S, 48, 48D,
48S, 49, 49D,
50, 51, 51D, 52, 52D, 53, 53D, 54D, 54S, 55D (2), 56, 56D, 57, 57D, 58, 58D, 59, 59D
Proofs: 68S, 69S(2), 70S (2), 71S (2), 72S (3), 73S (3), 74S (3), 75S, 76S (2), 77S (3), 78S (2), 79S (2), 80S (3), 81S (3), 82S (2), 83S (3), 84S (2), 85S (6), 86S (2), 87S (3), 88S, 90S, 91S, 2000S
There *may* be a couple of more rolls there from said group... will go there first thing on my lunch hour tomorrow to see if there anymore of these rolls - given that the 39-D was in there, this was likely a complete set of Jeffersons that was broken up and rolled, so the 50-D and 38-S just might still be lurking, along with the other semi-keys (49-S, 51-S, 55) and missing dates... and more proofs, of course...
I should also note that the 1939-D, combined with my 2023 finds (starting with a 1950-D on 1/11/23), and the 1943-D from Friday just completed another complete set of Jeffersons from circulation - my 4th since I started doing this in 2016!

CRH Nickeloholic. 1,600,000 nickels searched in eight years! Have found FOUR complete Jefferson sets!
