I took the plunge and bought my first 1921 Peace dollar

I know it has its problems but I am pleased with its condition considering my limeted budget.

Any thoughts would be appreciated.

Doesn't look like it has any real problems, just honest wear.

Can't help with grading but hello from the UK.

Did you pick it up over here?

I saw 2 or 3 recently on UK ebay.

Don't think I've ever seen one this worn before. Agree with VG-08.

What is that crooked line from the date to Y in LIBERTY? Doesn't look like an ordinary scratch. I'd guess a die crack, or maybe a planchet lamination.

Hello all! Thanks for your great and encouraging comments :)

That squiggly line from the Y was puzzling me too, its not raised nor is it a scratch. The closest thing I can liken it too is a carbon streak, but it follows the sort of line that I would expect from a die crack. Moving from raised point to raised point...

Perhaps it is a worn die crack? But I dont know if that would leave a visible line such as this.
