I believe these lines are trail dies. They come off a design and do not appear to be scratches. I welcome your feedback. Also, what are trail dies worth? Thanks.

i see this often on cents. I can't tell based on the pictures, but it can either be die polishing marks or just lines on the planchet. I know with cents sometimes a planchet will have weird lines on it and they will remain after the coin is struck. not sure what causes it though

These lines maybe caused by feeder fingers scraping across the die face. They are not trail dies though.

The lines above quarter are die scratches. Note how they disappear behind the devices? They are on the fields which is the outside face of the die. The devices are sunk into the die and polishing usually does not affect them, just the fields.
