My grandfather sent me another box of misc. coinage. Nothing worth posting about. Most of them will be sent to the bank for good ol' face value. However in the mix were 20 Canadian coins. I do NOT collect foreign coins at all. So, what am I to with these. I was going to attempt and grade them but...

Anyways, here is what I found;

Hey, your '45 1c and '32 5c are pretty common and only worth something in AU or better.
The '67 and '68 10c are silver--either .5 or .8 fine. (update: some are also 1.0 Ni)
Everything else is pretty much face value.

The nickel 68's were either minted in Ottawa or Philidephia. On the Philly coins the edge grooves (reeding) have flat bottoms, and on the RCM minted coins the edge groves have V shaped grooves.

See if the 68 dime is attracted to a magnet. If so, it's not silver.
