Wow, very nice. How doyou get such fantastic pictures? I have many old coins like yours, in particular a 1910 probably AU condition but when I try to capture it on camera it looks horrible.

Thanks, do you normally use the gray background or does it depend on the coin?

Like what I see for the variety and the coin itself looks great to me.

Was curious if the coin was cleaned though? Maybe my monitor or eyes, but kind of has an oily sheen in the first two pics. Thanks, Doug.

Somethings I do not understand. Number one, the fifth photo in the first post(closeup on mm) does not show the die flow lines in all the other photos. It also shows what appears to be a dent SW of the last 1, which also is not apparent it the other photos. The same photo shows a slightly different shape to the tail of the 9 than the other photos. All the photos are very nice, but I do not think phot 5 is the same coin as the other photos show.

Sorry about the confusion I have 2 of these and the pictures are probably of both. I will post a pic of the other one which is chocolate in color. One of the questions I was wondering was how everyone felt that this variety isn't recognized for what it is and isn't attributed by most authenticates

#1 It is very hard to truly attribute something on a worn out specimen. I would assume that there have not been an over abundance of this variety in good enough condition for every attribution service or expert to examine for themself.

Poor coin, been cleaned, reverse took quite a hit, obverse has a slash mark scratch as I call it, and the reverse also has some environmental damage that certainly cannot be removed.

Honestly a TPG would grade this "Genuine" - most likely not a $1,000 coin but still nice!
