Here is mine. I'll admit I got a bit of a bargain on it to bring in under $50. Edited to add I paid $20 for this coin.

Paid $7.50 for this lovely lady. S-158 and R-4. I've seen worse ones sell for over $300. Came with a 1795 Large Cent for also $7.50. S-77 and R-3, and I have seen it sell for around $100 in its condition.

hahaha "a bit" :D
Well I'm getting a really nice 1914 Barber dime for Christmas that my sister got for $20...it looks like it's about AU58 quality...I'll post pictures when I get it.
I got a really nice toned 1878-S, but it was $60...definitely a great bargain though.

Tons of stuff for me, hard to choose, but,

I picked up this raw 1882 Morgan dollar in MS-63 for $36.00. Morgans are fun coins to get people hooked: big, shiny, widely available, and real silver.

Alternative:

Picked up this 1803 S-253 Large Cent (EAC 10/8) for $49.99. First pictures w/flash. 2nd without. History in the palm of your hand and not too valuable to worry about damaging it.

Coin has not been cleaned, planchet mix was less than optimal. It has been Blue Ribboned.

Not all "U.S. Classics" are U.S. coins. This "classic" James S. Bradley counterstamp, circa 1850's, appears on a 1774 Spanish Two Reale coin. Spanish coins were used in the U.S. to conduct daily business until the Coinage Act of 1857 rendered them illegal. Coins were then valued for their metal content, and these two reale or two bit pieces had lower silver content than their counterparts, being U.S. quarters.

Although Bradley stamped a number of circulating coins to promote word-of-mouth advertising for his business, there are now only three known of this variety. The legend reads as follows:

FINE PICTURES & MIRRORS / CHEAPEST IN THE CITY / Jas. S. BRADLEY / GILDER & FRAME MAKER / 154 Wm. St. N.Y.

A comparable specimen sold in a Stack's auction a few years ago, realizing $977.00. I snagged this one on ebay in a $24.95 Buy It Now auction ... Free Shipping!! This "gem" was sold by a jewelry store. Back in 2013, I bought a 1793 Wreath Cent in a jewelry store for only $30. Although it had a finely porous surface, the entire legend, date included, was readable. That's another story ...
