Heres one of my favorite cameo coins (although the cameo isn't strong enough to be listed ) 1963 Proof Franklin half, NGC PF-66 (old holder, sellers pics from half a year ago)

Quote: AcesKing, what kind of coin is that? It's a 2009 PR Lincoln Bicentennial Commemorative. There are many modern Commemoratives available in Cameo PR and many at very affordable prices. I paid $25 for that one at the local flea market.

Quote: This years commemorative has a strong cameo. Yes it does. I have the three coin set (proof dollar and dimes). I really like it.

I think The Royal Mint and the U.S. Mint does their cameo proofs much better than the RCM or the RAM does. The RCM and the RAM loose far too much detail in the cameo areas of the their designs. Their Cameo effect is way too coarse and harsh, and is the reason why the detail is lost. That's not a matter of personal taste. That's just the way it currently is, and has been for decades.

Technically, this 1978-S Ike is the best, most intense cameo I've ever seen, but the 1974-S below it is much more beautiful, IMO. Both are from Dave Enders.
