I'm obsessed with cameo coins (hence my username :)). I want people to post their "deepest"/highest quality/most ultra cameo coins. In other words, coins that have the highest contrast of white to black... Edited by cameo92 12/20/2015 11:55 pm

this example not mine but I have one in the same grade that also has an ultra heavy cameo. I'm linking this one since I have no pics of mine and this is the only other one I have found record of. the cameo of mine is a little more contrasting, especially on the obverse. I found it at the Toronto coin expo for $100 CAD, it is the highest grade given to a 1967 SP dollar and UHC is the highest cameo rating given by them. the coin is a stunner to hold and once when I had it out, my cockatiel flew over and used it as a mirror. no joke. http://www.icollector.com/1967-1-IC...HC_i20966977

I only have one, a 1960 Voyageur Dollar, NGC PL 66 CAMEO. It's the centerpiece of my Silver Dollars of '60 set.

This is not quite 'black and white' but it is a very strong cameo!

Cameos on pure nickel coins are tougher to find, than silver... this is from the 1970 VIP specimen set.

i bought this stunning coin at the most recent Toronto coin expo and I love it. IMO it is almost a heavy cameo, if the auction company had taken better pics it definitely would have sold and I wouldn't own it today. paid $260, I couldn't resist it and the trends for a regular example is $350. this is a second highest grade from ICCS with one example in a 66 holder(i do not know if the 66 is a cameo though). if there was ever a contest for "pics dont do it justice" this would be a top contender. http://www.icollector.com/Newfoundl...cc_i22287333

Yeah, trout1105, I think those are the best so far...unfortunately, it's hard to find that kind of cameo prior to 1970, but it is possible, as barryg showed...

barryg, that is one AWESOME coin! I absolutely LOVE the older proof coins, but on my budget I can't really afford any!
