Looks like a VF-25 by the small pics, you need larger images.
I have suspicion this coin may be fake.

This coin looks genuine to me....all the markers are there. Correct date, correct reverse etc..
I would be more worried about environmental damage. Coin looks a bit too dark, maybe its just the pics.
VF20 maybe VF25 grade for me....nice coin!

Photos are too small to be certain, but I'd say in the low Very Fine range.

Would really like to see larger photos. not too sure about the shield. VF-ish for now.

It looks to have the 'weak' N's but, as the others said, need larger photos.

I'd say VF-25. Nice coin.

I don't like that "N" in "One". The bottom right looks strange to me, almost disappearing. The fields are also clean of scratches and nicks. I'd stay away from this one. Could be one of those really really good fakes that come out of Switzerland. I managed to find about 200 listings like so.

Disappearing "N" in ONE is a marker for genuine 1877 IHCs. It looks genuine but needs to be holdered as such. It's potentially a $1500 as a problem-free VF30.

Look at how they're selling these fakes now, 291643892972There have been fakes of this issue for decades, here is a site that shows fake and altered 1877's https://indiancent.wikispaces.com/C...Indian+CentsThe poster needs better pics to have a fair level of certainty. I think it looks genuine. the remark about the smooth surfaces is a good point, no contact, just smooth wear? sure tough buying a 1877 Indian head raw.
