Makes me wonder if there are actually any coins in the Star Wars universe.
Though if they are, collecting them is going to be a pain. Tens of thousands of planets (probably more), tens of thousands of years of history (again, probably more), and just about everyone advanced enough uses some kind of electronic credit chips anyway.
EDIT: Wookieepedia says there are, but at least as of the main story's setting, they seem to be uncommon (and mostly used by the Hutts).

For those who recognize Episode 1 as canon, Qui-Gon tries to use the Republic Credits on Tatooine, where Watto refuses, demanding something more "real".
He would fit right in here.
Also on one of the MMO games, hackers managed to counterfeit credits, which led to runaway inflation for a while.
