1873 Open 3 - AU53 (spots of luster remain) -- jerry nailed it IMO;

not sure on the cleaned part. IHCs are not my strong suit.

I'm split on this one between 53 and 55, but it appears to be right in that ball park. I don't see any indications of cleaning.

AU-53 maybe a 55 sounds good to me. Not UNC, nor is it details.

I believe the coin is closer to AU-58, a little dark spot on the shield but other than that, nice strike LIBERTY good and bold, nice one.

Agree on the grade, but the coin will not grade, note the dent in I and corresponding and aligned dent in the rim. Something struck the coin. I have had smaller rim dings result in 'damage' designations.
